Changes to your water coverage
Water coverage protects your home and its contents from certain types of water-related damage.
We’re updating and streamlining our water coverage into one offering called the Water Protection Package for insured properties across Canada (not including Quebec). If your insured property is in Quebec, contact your broker to find out how your water protection is changing.
The Water Protection Package includes Sewer Backup, Overland Water, and Service Line coverage (Service Line coverage is applicable to Homeowners’ locations only). This package will make your coverage easier to understand and provide more consistent protection.
When your policy renews, your water coverage may be automatically updated. As a result, your coverage, limits and/or deductibles may have changed.
Where to find your policy updates
You may find these updates on your Summary of Change in your policy package. Your updated coverage is reflected in your Certificate of Insurance (COI). For further details regarding the changes, please refer to your policy wordings.
