Policy update

Your Manufactured Home policy has been renewed on our updated Comprehensive policy. This may include additional changes to your optional coverage and enhancements.

Personal property coverage

Personal property coverage helps protect your belongings, such as furniture, clothing, and electronics. If your belongings are damaged, destroyed, or stolen due to an event covered by your property insurance, this coverage can help you pay to repair or replace them.

There may be changes to your coverage for personal property.

Detached private structures

Detached private structure coverage protects buildings on your property that are not physically attached to the main house on the property. Some examples include a shed, gazebo, or detached garage.

There may be changes to your coverage for detached private structures.

Additional living expense

Additional living expenses help you pay for extra costs if you can’t use your residence due to a covered loss, such as a fire or major water damage.

There may be changes to your coverage for additional living expenses.

By-law coverage

By-law coverage helps you pay the extra costs of repairs or rebuilding your property to meet current building codes after an insured loss.

There may be changes to your by‑law coverage.

Water damage deductibleThere is now a minimum $2,500 Water Damage Deductible that will apply to all standard water damage claims (e.g., broken pipes, sewer backup, and appliance connections), excluding coverage provided under Aviva’s Water Protection Package, which remains subject to its own terms and deductibles.
Roof and siding limitation endorsement

Your policy may include a roof and siding limitation endorsement. This means that there are limits on how much your policy pays to repair or replace your roof or siding if they’re damaged.

If your roof or siding is damaged by hail or wind, your claim payment will be adjusted based on their age and condition at the time of the loss. This limitation does not apply to damage caused by ice, snow, or sleet.

Where to find your policy updates

You may find these updates on your Summary of Change in your policy package. Your updated coverage is reflected in your Certificate of Insurance (COI). For further details regarding the changes, please refer to your policy wordings.

Please review your policy carefully.
