Changes to your Excess Liability coverage

Excess Liability is an optional type of coverage that provides additional liability protection beyond the base limits of your existing Aviva auto, property, and/or watercraft policies.

We’re updating and modernizing our liability coverage offerings. As a result of these changes, we’re no longer offering the Excess Liability endorsement.

What you need to do

When your policy renews, the Excess Liability endorsement will be removed from your policy.

Please speak to your broker about options to increase your liability protection, including raising your limits on your existing policy/policies, or adding Personal Umbrella coverage.

Where to find your policy updates

You’ll find these updates on your Summary of Change in your policy package.

For specific information about your coverage, please refer to your policy. Please review your policy carefully.

Questions?

If you have any questions about these updates or want to discuss your coverage needs, please contact your broker.
