Possible Canada Post service disruption

What you need to know

A possible Canada Post national service disruption may cause delays in mail delivery as early as May 23, 2025.

We are monitoring the situation closely and taking steps to ensure you have alternative options should a postal strike happen.

Premium payments

It’s important to keep up with your regular payments to maintain your insurance coverage. With the possibility of a national postal strike, we’d like to remind you of safe and effective online payment options.

Claims

You can submit your home and/or auto insurance claims online or call us at 1-866-692-8482. If you are eligible for a claim payment, speak with your claims representative to arrange direct deposit to your bank account or Electronic Funds Transfer (ETF). If EFT is not an option, we will send payments of over $200 to you by cheque via courier. All other payments will be securely held until the strike is resolved.

Policyholder documents

Document delivery may be delayed during the mail service disruption. We're actively seeking alternative methods to get your documents to you. If you haven’t switched to electronic delivery, contact your insurance representative to get started.

Auto policyholder pink slips

By law, drivers are required to carry proof of auto insurance. If you’ve purchased or renewed your insurance policy, speak with your insurance representative about getting a temporary electronic pink slip during this time.
