Modernizing Lifestyle Insurance for you and your customers
The season is sailing off into the sunset. The cottages are closing up and the boats are making their way to dry docks. But here at Aviva, things are still buzzing for our Lifestyle products with our Personal Insurance modernization – all to better support you and your customers when insuring snowmobiles, RVs, motorcycles, ATVs, cottages, boats, and more.
Recapping the journey
To create a modern Personal Insurance experience, Aviva has begun transitioning away from our legacy platform, LeisureQuote (LQ) to Guidewire. This transition includes:
- streamlined product offerings
- reduction in forms and administrative complexity
- improved broker self-service capabilities
- simplified workflows for brokers and employees
- increased automation in quoting and policy servicing
- adding new coverages
- retiring low volume products
- aligning Lifestyle product coverages with Aviva Retail where it makes sense
These changes began to roll out provincially last month, however you may not see the impact for a few months or even until 2027 – depending on the location of your customers. If you haven’t already, you will begin to see messaging in LQ indicating where to make policy changes and/or write new business.
Get up to speed on the transition
You can get a jump on our Personal Insurance modernization with tutorials that cover product, underwriting and quote/bind processes starting with RVLife Towed and Stationary Trailers and Manufactured Homes. In the coming months, we’ll be rolling out tutorials for RetreatLife, BC RideLife, and NauticLife. Keep an eye out and take a running start when business starts rolling on the next big Lifestyle season.
