How does the Moen Smart Leak Detector work?


The detector is a 3.5-inch, battery-powered unit that you mount on the wall in high-risk areas like the kitchen, laundry room, attics, etc. It comes with a 48-inch cord and sensing disc that can be placed in hard-to-reach areas to:

  • Detect water, moisture, humidity, or extreme temperatures
  • Sound an alarm and send customizable notifications through the Moen Smart Water App
  • Monitor difficult-to-reach areas such as under or behind appliances and in laundry rooms
