“Aviva Canada delivered solid results in the first half of 2020 with a Combined Operating Ratio of 95.5% (vs 98.1% in HY1 2019). We have delivered more than $121M of relief to our customers during the COVID-19 pandemic while still providing exceptional claims service and support during recent CAT events, most notably the Calgary hailstorm and Fort McMurray floods. Despite the negative impacts of the economic shutdown, our business performance has remained strong and I’m grateful to our staff, brokers and partners for all their support.”
