Appointment of Anne Marie O’Donovan, FCPA as Chair of the Board of Directors at Aviva Canada

June 13, 2019 (Toronto, Ontario) - Aviva Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Anne Marie O’Donovan, FCPA as Chair of its Board of Directors and its seven regulated insurance subsidiaries. First elected to the Board of Directors of Aviva Canada Inc. in 2016, Ms. O’Donovan is an experienced public company board member and strategic senior executive with over 30 years of Canadian and Global Financial Services industry experience. She is a member of the Board of Cadillac Fairview, Indigo Books and Music Inc., and two private investment management firms. Ms. O’Donovan becomes the first female Chair of the Board of Directors at Aviva Canada.

In 2014, she was awarded the Women in Capital Markets Leadership Award. In 2013, she was named to the Women’s Executive Network Top 100 Most Powerful Women ranking, and in 2009, she became a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA).
