Opus Alkaplus Healthy Water System
Seven Stage Alkalizing, Antioxidant Water Purification System
In addition to all of the standard features found in the Opus Advantage Healthy Water System, the Alkapure adds healthful minerals, lowers the ORP (creating healing, antioxidant water), and adds active negative hydrogen ions which scavenge free radicals, producing water that is equal to or superior to water produced by expensive electric “micro-water” ionizers for a fraction of the cost . Plus, the filtration systems integrated into more expensive electric micro-water ionizing primarily remove chlorine are proprietary, do not remove contaminants like fluoride and heavy metals, and are expensive.
The Opus Alkaplus has all the features of the Opus Advantage Healthy Water System, with the following additional features:
• Increased pH, creating more alkaline drinking water. Helps to flush acidic metabolites and toxins at the cellular level, increasing the body’s alkalinity.
• Addition of healthful ionic minerals, including magnesium, calcium, and potassium.
• Increase in oxygen. Ionized water can deliver twice as much oxygen to your cells as tap or bottled water. German biochemist Dr. Otto Warburg won the Nobel Prize for research indicating that cancer cannot survive in the presence of oxygen, and that cancer cells are anaerobic.
• Decrease in ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential). A lower ORP indicates that the liquid can scavenge free radicals, acting as a powerful antioxidant.
• Antioxidant function scavenges oxygen free radicals (radical oxygen species), and may help reduce the risk of degenerative diseases including cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.
• Vitamin C – Adds to the antioxidant functionality of the filter.
• Tourmaline – Far Infrared Ceramic Ball - Produces negative hydrogen (hydroxyl) ions and creates a smaller water cluster size (reclusters the water molecule).
• Smaller Water Clusters (51.497 Hz) hydrate the body up to 3 times more effectively than normal water, while helping to increase the absorption of nutrients and minerals.
Stage 1: 5 Micron Dirt/Rust/Sediment Filter – Horizontally Mounted Omnipure
This filter is designed to remove dirt, rust, sediment, and other contaminants and to prevent these contaminants and materials from adversely affecting the efficiency of the fluoride, KDF Media, and Granular Activated Carbon filters. In normal use replace every 6-12 months.
Stage 2: Activated Alumina – Fluoride Filtration
Activated alumina provides effective removal of fluoride and arsenic. Under normal use, we recommend replacing this filter after 2 years of use.
Stage 3 and 4: 2.5 Pounds KDF Media, 1 pound Granulated Activated Carbon (GAC)
KDF Media (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion) is a zinc/copper media that safely reduces or removes chlorine, iron, hydrogen sulfide, nitrates, nitrites, arsenic, cadmium, chromium, mercury, manganese, nickel, lead, trichloroethane, lindane, chloroform, fluoride and heavy metals. When combined with Granulated Activated Carbon, a synergistic effect is produced that is greater than either material alone.
Most water filter manufacturers that include KDF Media use ½ pound of media, which should provide effective removal of contaminants in most homes for one to two years.
The level of KDF media used in the Opus Advantage Healthy Water System (2.5 pounds) is the highest amount available in a 10” water filter design, and should provide effective removal of contaminants for a very large family of water drinkers for over two years. The KDF/GAC filter is placed after the activated alumina filter to ensure that any particles or fines from the alumina filter will be absorbed by the KDF/Carbon filter.
Stage 5: 1 Micron Pleated Filter
The purpose of the 1 Micron pleated filter in Stage 5 is to ensure that no particles from the Stage 2 (Activated Alumina) or Stage 3&4 KDF/Granulated Activated Carbon) can reach the final 1 micron Omnipure carbon block polishing filter (Stage 6). The installation process includes flushing the Activated Alumina and KDF/GAC filters, prior to the installation of this filter. Replace this filter every year with with Stage 1 and Stage 6.
Stage 6: 1 Micron Carbon Block - Horizontally Mounted
This filter puts a final polish to the water and ensures it is not only contaminant free, but also crystal clear amd great tasting. This filter is superior to many standalone filter systems on the market. We recommend replacing this filter every year. Stage 6 ensures that the water entering the Stage 7 Bioceramic, Alkaline, Antioxidant Energizing Filter is pure and free of contaminants, and ready to be transformed into high antioxidant, alkaline, energizing, healing water. This filter should be replaced annually with Stage 1 and Stage 5.
STAGE 7: Opus Bioceramic Alkalizing, Antioxidant, Energizing, Healing Filter
Using bioceramics, alkalizing minerals (magnesium, calcium and potassium), and other unique minerals the Opus Bioceramic Alkalizing Antioxidant Filter transforms water purified by the previous six stages into health giving antioxidant, oxygenated, alkalizing, health promoting drinking water. Rated life: 7,000 litres, or 1850 gallons, which is equivalent to over 5 gallons per day for one year, or about 80 8 ounce glasses per day, or 2 years if 2.5 gallons of water are used daily.
